ir-sensors The Infrared Sensors IRS-235 M and IRS-235 F detect actively infrared radiation after the thermo-electric principle (235 thermopiles).
The detectors are made by thinfilm technology and are characterized by a flat, space-saving and robust device construction, do not need a filter window, possess a high responsivity, are not influ-enced by heat conduction and heat convection of the surroundings and are resistant against high intensity of heat radiation.
ir-sensor (foil type) The sensors are offered in two variants, either as flexible foil (IRS-235 F) or as rigid device with a modified TO 39 support (IRS-235 M).
Their geometry and parameters are adjustable to specific applications.

Applications

The Infrared Sensors are used for contactless temperature measurement and monitoring in consumer applications and industrial processes, such as
 

  • household appliances (e. g. electric irons, toaster, washing machines),
  • presence and motion detectors,
  • air-conditioning (house, industry, automobile),
  • electronic heat cost allocators,
  • temperature monitoring (e. g. of motioned parts or aggressive medien),
  • ir-measurement equipment.
In a modified design the sensor is also suited for heat flux measurement, e. g. for long time investi-gations at buildings.
